Selamat Hari Raya!

This public holiday was timely because it gave me time to complete my course assignment due the end of this week but it also means my holiday is burnt! Glad that it started off with a good game of mahjong but I'm also utterly regretful that the game stretched till the cockaroo's herald of daybreak, postponing our beauty sleep which ended only at 1p.m today.. how wasteful! Our initial itinerary of a good breakfast at 9a.m, study and work time till afternoon and a trip downtown in the evening looks set to be made null and void.

Now at 4.30p.m, we have just completed masticating on junk brunch from Mac - the hottest food joint in NUS during public holidays! The queue from the counter till the grand entrance resembles the raging endeavor for those Hello Kitty couples few years back. Quick-eye beh managed to spot his hallmate among the crowd and executed the Ugly Singaporean Act: Jump Queue. Oh, no, his hallmate offered to buy the meals for us, kudos to his kind assistance which allowed us to obtain our rations in the seemingly famine-stricken NUS.

Help.. I'm struggling with my assignment. Instead of braving through it, I choose to sit back and reflect the objectives of this training course my dear employer had put us through. I applaud for the knowledge and experience I gained through the course, but at the end of the day, does it really enhance our career prospects or it is just another testimony to the never-ending paper chase? But heck, I'll get on with it and get the certificate and add these credentials to my resume!

Dinner time soon, we're gonna strut down to Borders and utilise that 30% discount voucher kindly offered by The Straits Time.
